Hi, I’m Vanessa- Clinically Licensed Social Worker supporting those experiencing anxiety, depression, life changes and post partum mood disorders
If you have been finding yourself more anxious, depressed, disconnected from yourself, or facing challenges in your relationships- it’s time to prioritize your mental health and get the support you deserve. Taking the first step to seek help is one of the best decisions you can make, and I would be honored to be a part of that with you.
When you work with me, you will find a warm, down to earth approach and environment (with a side of humor and some gentle challenging) so that you can work on your healing.
I have extensive experience working with clients in different stages of their mental health. I specialize in treating clients who are experiencing postpartum mood and anxiety disorders, generalized anxiety and depression, trauma, and life transitions. I am passionate about working with college-aged clients to adults
Empowering you to thrive through therapy
About me:
I have always been passionate and felt drawn to help others. I was inspired by social workers who I knew in my life growing up and what change they could help make in the lives around them.
When it was time to choose a major in college, I originally chose teaching and wanted to teach special education- I quickly learned that wasn’t for me during a math for teachers class (I got a D- math is not my strong suit!)… but that’s okay- I switched to social work, and knew it was exactly where I was supposed to be. I graduated with my BSW from West Chester University, and continued right along for my Masters in Social Work at Kean University. I have been practicing in different areas of social work since graduating including a children’s hospital, community mental health and psychiatric care. I have been in outpatient therapy for over 10 years now, and love the ability to provide for my clients in the way that I do!
In my personal time, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, reading, a good cup of coffee, and neighborhood walks.
